Stop forgetting to type up regains, me

Regain IV: Fear of frogs.
- Remember being three or so, one of those earliest memories you can actually really recall, and the only thing you remember is finding a bullfrog by the pond in the park? And then it bulges and leaps and slams into your chest, knocking the wind out of you? And before you can start crying, because you can't breathe, it slams into you again and lands on your face and knocks you down? And you cry and cry and every time you see a frog you remember sliminess and being unable to breathe and want to cry?

... Well, Chii does. Yayyyyy.

Regain V: The reason behind her long hair.
- Of note, Chii's hair comes down near her hips, which is ... important. Let's begin.

It's a junior high school type setting. The kids in class are all very rowdy, and all of them are taunting one girl. Her hair is very long, longer than Chii's is now, and her bangs are cut hime-style and she looks every inch like a princess. This is why she's being teased, of course - her father is vice prime minister and is extremely important, which means his family is always in the limelight, so she is too.

Her name is Tsubomi, and she is Chii's best friend. Chii calls her Mii-chan ♥ At the same time, in her memory, Chii's hair is much shorter. Her pigtails barely come to her shoulder and even then she thinks her hair is getting too long.

Mii was dragged away after school one day by some upperclassmen, just for a few minutes they said - "You can go ahead, Chisato," Mii said. It was a nervous atmosphere, but because they were older students, Chii waved goodbye and ran off to help some other clubs for a few minutes.

After a little while, Chii started to get nervous. Mii is too shy to talk with strangers for so long, even people her own age. She's quiet and likes to walk away from conflicts. And then there's the fact that a lot of the boys and meaner girls were taking off out of clubs and meetings to do something behind the school.

After hearing nothing from Mii for an hour, Chii goes looking for her. What she finds is devastating.

Mii, alone, crying in the treeline behind the school. Huge clumps of her hair litter the ground. The kids mocked her for her father's pro-monster policies, and even Mii's only real friendship, and many of them coming from old-world families took it out on Tsubomi. They chopped her precious hair that she always took pride in near to her scalp. Chunky, uneven, terrible.

Chii fell to her knees next to her and cried. She grabbed a pair of shears left behind to hack off her own hair, but Mii stopped her. Not with her hands, but her words.

"Don't... don't, Chisato... You have such pretty hair too. I want mine to be pretty again. I want to be pretty again."

So Chii just sliced the sides of her hair and told her, "I'll wait for you to catch up, okay Mii-chan?"

Tsubomi didn't argue, so Chii kept to her promise. She took on the hime-style for Mii-chan and hasn't cut the rest of her hair since. The memory is fuzzy in places, stuff Chii doesn't want to remember, and but while it's painful and it hurts there is a lot of hope built from it too. She loves Tsubomi so much that even though she hates having long hair, she doesn't mind. If it will make Tsubomi happy to see someone who loves her, and to see that hair rolling over her shoulders when they sit side by side, Chii can deal with the upkeep. Even though a lot of that means making Mii-chan brush it out for her ...

Important notes: Remembered her name!
